Peugeot PHEVs Claiming Two Hour Recharge

Peugeot has launched its latest plug-in hybrid gasoline engine range claiming a recharge time of just two hours and up to 30 miles on its ZEV full electric mode.
The powertrains, available for the Peugeot 3008 SUV, Peugeot 508 and Peugeot 508 SW, boast four further drive modes including 4-wheel drive with the HYBRID4, Sport, Comfort and Hybrid modes. Battery capacity options range between 11.8 KWh and 13.2KWh, featuring energy conservation and regeneration systems such as i-Booster, farming energy from braking, and e-Save, allowing drivers to reserve electric energy for up-coming planned trips.
Peugeot claims its designers have reworked a hybrid version of the Peugeot i-Cockpit cabin system to allow easier access to all essential hybrid functions. An access button on the touchscreen allows a view of the powertrain energy efficiency, such as electricity consumption and fuel consumption.
The Peugeot 508’s will employ a PureTech gasoline engine coupled with an electric motor collectively delivering a combined maximum power of 225 hp while claiming emissions of less than 49g of CO2 per kilometer. The Peugeot 3008 SUV will have the option of all-wheel drive with a total claimed power output of 300 hp to sprint the car to 62mph in 6.5 seconds.
