Nebula takes BT innovation prize

The competition was to find a partner to showcase technology in the telecoms giant’s Automotive Showcase at Adastral Park Customer Centre in its global research and development headquarters, Ipswich, Suffolk.
In a statement BT said: “Nebula Systems CEO Andrew Steer’s submission is an exciting telematics solution, called MECH5, which the judging panel saw as making an exceptional and unique contribution to vehicle innovation.”
MECH5 is a cloud based innovation that delivers a full scale professional scan tool, which connects to all of the vehicles electronic control units.
BT will now place a demonstration of this capability in the customer centre, which hosts around 2,500 business customers each year.
Events are focused on improving relationships and developing business opportunities through business led conversations, aimed at demonstrating BT as an innovative, networked IT services company.
The competition was also promoted by the Autotech Council and BT is hoping to develop this relationship in the future to uncover more innovation around the connected car.
