NAVITIME enhances navigation for pedestrians and public transport

In a single route search, NAVITIME calculates routes for cars, public transportation (subways and trains) and pedestrians.

Routes that involve one mile or more of walking distance will be replaced by taxi routes. This feature will provide a better estimate of the total time necessary for travel, and will enable users to give directions to taxi drivers. CO2 emission rates are also provided for the taxi routes.

NAVITIME has also added a feature that recommends the best area of the subway train car to board, e.g. which carriage is closest to the stairs or exit at the destination station. This recommendation feature is available for routes using the MTA New York City Subway.
