America News: TeleNav lists drivers’ Top 5 excuses for being late

Arriving late is a growing problem that could be alleviated with the use of GPS navigation services, concludes TeleNav following a recent online consumer poll.
According to the 400+respondents, the most common reasons for arriving late at their destinations are:
- Traffic (74%)
- Poor directions (8%)
- Road construction (8%)
- Unable to find a parking structure (6%)
- Needed gas (4%)
CareerBuilder.com recently disclosed that 16% of workers arrive late to work at least once a week, and 31% attributed their tardiness to traffic.
The Consumer Electronics Association identified that 33% of future GPS buyers are interested in owning a cell-phone with GPS/navigation capabilities.
GPS applications on cell phones have the advantage of a wireless network connection that provides access to real-time information, including traffic alerts and rerouting, as well as up-to-date maps and directions.
