America News: Dash Express now available for pre-order
Following a successful national road test, Dash Navigation has announced that the Dash Express™, the first Internet-connected GPS device, is now available for pre-order via the company’
The $599.99 price tag includes three free months of Dash Service.
Subscription options are:
- Two-year pre-pay plan: Effectively $9.99 per month
- One-year pre-pay plan: Effectively $10.99 per month
- Month-to-month plan: $12.99/month
Connected features include real-time traffic information from the Dash Driver Network, Internet Search, Send2Car and AutoUpdates, although the device also functions as a GPS device without the subscription service.
The Dash Express will begin shipping in February directly from www.dash.net, followed by broader retail distribution in Q2 2008.
