ABI’s Clint Wheelock and Dominique Bonte to moderate panels at Telematics Detroit 2008

The panel will discuss:

  • How to integrate traffic information on on-board, off-board, and hybrid systems
  • What consumers really want by examining innovative business models based on market research and consumer feedback
  • The key criteria companies use in selecting their traffic and navigation partners
  • What it takes to seamlessly integrate dynamic traffic into intelligent routing
  • The pros and cons of one-way and two-way network connectivity options, such as RDS, HD radio, satellite, GPRS, voice, and data-over-voice, for delivering dynamic navigation and content to the vehicle

Dominique Bonte, ABI Research's principal analyst, telematics & navigation, will moderate a second panel, The relentless fight for market dominance – is a winner emerging? at Telematics Detroit on the afternoon of May 22nd.

This group will discuss the business models for subscription-based navigation services; the relationship between web companies, device manufacturers and content providers; and the impact of wireless connectivity on interactive navigation.
