Xpeng’s BEV Euro Expansion Begins in Norway

Chinese BEV manufacturer Xpeng has begun deliveries of its SUV model to customers in Norway.
Some 100 Xpeng G3 vehicles are being handed over this week to their new owners across 28 cities and towns in Norway – the northernmost of which is Bodø lying just inside the Arctic Circle. The automaker is actively exploring opportunities in EV-mature markets with supportive government policies, advanced EV infrastructure and high EV awareness as the top priority markets. Xpeng is also planning to launch its second production model, the P7 electric sports saloon, in Europe within the next year.
The G3 enjoys a competitive list price in Norway starting at 358,000 NKr ($41,000) and features a panoramic windscreen and a claimed range of 285miles on WLTP, XPILOT 2.5 advanced driver assistance system and an auto parking system able to distinguish between parallel and vertical parking spaces, as well as marked and unmarked parking spaces.
He Xiaopeng, CEO and chairman of Xpeng, said: “Our launch in Europe comes just as consumers are shifting in increasingly large numbers to more sustainable personal transport and at a tipping point where governments around the world are stepping up their zero emission efforts. We look forward to being a significant driver in accelerating that transition.”
