World News: TomTom to buy Siemens VDO navigation arm
Several news websites have reported that TomTom will acquire all or part of a stake in Siemens VDO’s operations in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Official details have yet to be released by either company.
According to Telematics Research Group, Tomtom will move its own R&D activities to Eindhoven to merge with the former Siemens VDO team, which develops software for the VDO Dayton brand and OEM systems for BMW, Audi and Renault.
