MapQuest’s upgraded “Send to Cell” service lets users create detailed driving directions and maps at their desktop and send them to any web-enabled cell phone.

The service lets users create maps and directions on their PC and send that information to their cell phones. Turn-by-turn directions and detailed maps can then be accessed via a text link.

Users can create maps and driving directions using advanced routing options, reverse directions and multi-point routing.

They can also access the 15 million POIs, places, driving directions and business listings and have the results delivered to their mobile device, with “right-sized” maps and other mapping capabilities, including pan and zoom functions.
