Video: OEMs get hands-on with IVI system development

In this video from Telematics Detroit 2013, Kyle Walworth, vice president, solutions and strategy for automotive, Symphony Teleca, talks to TU's Andrew Tolve about the changing business model when it comes to car OEMs sourcing in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems.

According to him, car manufacturers are taking more charge of what different services and products go into their vehicles and how they are integrated. The big fear remains driver distraction. But Walworth also sees the issue as “the area of greatest opportunity within IVI system development.”
