Tata Turns to UK BEV Specialist for Indian Market

India’s technology wing of automotive giant, Tata, has teamed up with a UK automotive technologies specialists to advance its electrification strategy in its domestic market

A new software engineering center in Bengaluru is result of collaboration between Tata Technologies and GKN Automotive. It is expected to accelerate the global development of the latter’s e-Drive technologies for future electrified vehicles.

A widespread recruitment drive has now started to attract world-class talent to develop and reshape the future of e-mobility in Asia and, once established and fully operational, it will become a dedicated GKN Automotive facility. Following delays brought about by the pandemic, the center was completed in just six months and houses a design studio and laboratories. By the end of the year it will be home to over 100 world-class engineers and support staff.
