Smarter routing and advanced lane guidance on new TomTom devices

The TomTom ONE IQ RoutesTM and TomTom XL IQ RoutesTM feature technologies previously only available on the higher-spec TomTom GO series.

In addition, the two new models have been completely revised and feature a new user interface and expanded European map coverage1.

TomTom IQ Routes ensures users automatically have the most reliable travel and arrival times on their device. Depending on the time of the week or hour of the day drivers plan to set off, the most efficient route will be calculated for that particular moment, taking into account factors that can affect or delay journeys based on historic speed measurements.

TomTom's advanced lane guidance feature helps drivers to navigate difficult or complex junctions, or cross multiple lanes, giving drivers timely voice instructions and clearly indicating which lane or exit to take on the screen of the device, and provides a clear view of the road layout ahead.

A free Safety Alerts & Fuel Prices trial is included with the new TomTom ONE and TomTom XL, giving users access to latest safety camera information and up to date fuel prices within the UK. New updates, including accident black spots, mobile safety camera locations and new fuel prices, can be downloaded via TomTom HOME during the three-month trial.

TomTom Map ShareTM technology enables users to make instant map corrections on their device and share them with others.

The TomTom Help Me! menu and extensive safety features provide the user with direct access to emergency and roadside assistance services.

1 The enhanced map coverage includes a regional version with Tele Atlas maps of the UK & Ireland, and a European version with Tele Atlas maps of 42 countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Vatican City, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and access to major road networks in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian Federation.
