Škoda Adds Most Powerful SUV to vRS BEV Line-Up

Škoda has unveiled the latest performance vRS badged BEV to join its range claiming the highest power output of any of its line-up.

The SUV Enyaq ivRS joins its electric sibling, Enyaq Coupé ivRS, boasting a powertrain with two motors but power hiked by 5bhp to 295bhp and 339ft-lbs of torque. Both BEVs are based on the Volkswagen Group’s modular electrification toolkit (MEB) with one electric motor sat on the front axle while the second is on the rear axle.

The Enyaq ivRS claims a top speed of 111 mph, some it is 12mph faster than the other Enyaq iV models, as is the coupé variant. Locally emission-free, the vehicle claims a sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and, using a 82 kWh battery and drag coefficient of cw 0.265, claims a maximum range of more than 310 miles in the WLTP cycle. Thanks to a maximum charging power of 135 kW, the car’s lithium-ion high-voltage battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 36 minutes at fast-charging stations.

It can be charged at DC fast charging points with a charging power of up to 135 kW and at AC wallboxes at up to 11 kW. The ‘Plug & Charge’ function is new. This makes it possible to start the charging process at suitable charging points stored in the Powerpass app by connecting the charging cable; the vehicle is identified at the charging point and the charging session is billed automatically.
