Seat’s Cupra Concept Joins EV Flood at Frankfurt

Seat’s performance sub-brand Cupra will unveil its first BEV concept focused on the driver experience.

The Spanish carmaker has published the first interior picture of its zero emissions vehicle to debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) next month. It claims the car’s cabin “mixes material and technological concepts with openness and focus to create a cabin that provides the perfect balance between driver orientation and passenger comfort”.

It employs contrasting color schemes and use of carbon in its structure in a bid to achieve a premium feel with weight-saving properties. The published shot of the facia reveals a sports-influenced multi-function steering wheel and a digital instrument panel following the lead of existing BEV manufacturers.
