Seat to Unveil Its First Electric Concept

Spanish carmaker Seat will unveil its first battery electric concept vehicle based on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform at next week’s 2019 Geneva International Motor Show.

A darkly first glimpse rendition of it doesn’t point to any surprises in bodywork for the mid-size urban hatchback and hardly justifies Seat’s claim of “game-changing technologies”. That is unless, of course, there will be hidden innovations under the skin along the lines of cellular connectivity mentioned at the Mobile World Congress.

In a statement the carmaker said the concept “answers the many questions of what future mobility will look like”.

Seat president, Luca de Meo, said: “This concept car is a project of passion for Seat, it shows what can be achieved through the synergy of design, technology and pushing the boundaries to meet the demands of future mobility.”
