Peugeot Electrified Range Extends in 508

Peugeot is holding true to its commitment to electrify all of its range with the commercial launch of a PHEV version of the executive cruiser Peugeot 508.

The car, in saloon and estate versions, will employ a PureTech engine with an electric motor for a maximum combined power of 222bhp and claims a combined C0₂ rating of 29g/km assessed with WLTP. Its battery pack offers a capacity of 11.8kWh, providing a 100% electric range of 33 miles on the saloon and 32 miles on the estate version. The carmaker claims recharging can take less than two hours with a Wallbox with the optional 6.6 kW charger.

The car uses the latest version of PSA Group’s Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2) multi-energy platform. Despite battery pack dimensions, internal accommodation is maintained and the trunk volumes are identical to the ICE versions with 487-liters with rear seats in position.
