Peugeot eBikes Roll Back the Years

Peugeot is turning the clock back to produce retro-styled electric cycles for the modern climate-conscious user.

Drawing on its history of nearly 140 years producing bicycles, the French manufacturer is using the effortless power of new electric drivetrain technology to echo the style and elegance of a bygone era in the shape of it new Legend.

Based on its successful in-frame battery technology, the eLC01 is equipped with an eight-speed transmission and claims a range of up to 35 miles. Peugeot claims its compact frame and 24-inch wheels make it easy to handle and agile around the city, the cushioned saddle ensures comfort, disc brakes for safety. It is also enjoys carrying capacity with a Racktime luggage rack for fast bag attachment.

The architecture of its ‘single-stay’ frame, incorporating the rear chain and seat stays into a luggage rack, is inspired by the manufacturer’s products of the 1950s to 1970s.. It is available in White, Blue, Orange, Green and Aubergine.

After its launch at the Paris Motor Show 2018, the bikes will go on sale this autumn, and retail in Europe for €1,399 ($1,644) including local taxes.
