Ordnance Survey's Code-Point data is underpinning the GPS service by providing the exact location for the 1.7 million postcodes in the UK, enabling users to get direction information that is both highly accurate and linked to an actual place "on the map".

Nokia Maps 2.0 update adds Walk to the application – pedestrian navigation that walks you from A to B with visual turn-by-turn guidance.

Mark Salter, Ordnance Survey's head of Partners & Strategic Alliance, commented that this enhanced service from Nokia is an example of the success of Ordnance Survey's Partner Allianceprogram.

The new version of Nokia Maps 2.0 for selected devices is available on the Nokia website.
