Nissan Accelerates ProPilot Roll-Out

In what could be the biggest roll-out of advanced semi-autonomous technology to date, Nissan is offering its ProPilot platform on all models of its top-selling crossover.

The Nissan Qashqai, or Rogue Sport in the US, will now feature the ADAS package across its line-up of automatic transmission vehicles. The technology claims functions for single-lane driving that enables maintenance of the car’s lane position and distance from the vehicle in front with the ability to come to a halt and then resume driving again without human intervention.

On N-Connecta grades, the system is a $758 option in Europe, the same price as on the Nissan Leaf EV. The system is standard on both Tekna and Tekna+ grades.

Since its introduction on the Nissan Serena in Japan in 2016, more than 350,000 Nissan vehicles have been equipped with ProPilot. Kalyana Sivagnanam, managing director, Nissan Motor (GB), said: “The Nissan Qashqai has always been a leader in terms of innovative design and technologies that enhance the ownership experience. Our advanced ProPilot drive assistance adds a greater level of confidence, control and enjoyment to the UK’s best-selling crossover.”
