Hardware-Free Driver Behavior App Launched

An insurtech company is claiming to have developed a hardware-free app system to connect drivers to any vehicle they are using.

Greater Than, says it employs AI in its app2car solution to remove the barrier and costs of using in-car hardware. With the company’s platform Enerfy, it claims fleets, insurers and automakers now have to connect drivers directly to cars without intermediate hardware. It says every modern vehicle, regardless of fuel type, brand, or geographical position, can get connected and, naturally, share its data.

Anders Lindelöf, co-Founder and CTO of Greater Than, said: “We have brought our AI and its deep learning layers to a whole new dimension. OBD-data is from now on optional, since our AI algorithms instantly recognize the slightest change in the driving behavior, without any external hardware. A simpler client on-boarding has never seen daylight before.”
