GAC Unveils Gullwing BEV Claiming World’s Best Aero

Chinese automaker GAC Group [Guangzhou Automobile Group] has debuted what is claimed to be a radical market ready BEV claiming the world’s best aerodynamic package.

Unveiled at the 17th China Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, the vehicle dubbed ENO.146 makes the boast without detailing exactly what the coefficient of drag that has been achieved. The automaker also has yet to release any details of the vehicle’s powertrain or, in fact, when it is likely to reach the market.

What is clear, the futuristic design employs gullwing-like doors to allow maximum ease of access for vehicle passengers.

Feng Xingya, general manager of GAC, announced that the carmaker is quickening its pace to ramp up its electrification plan. He said: “GAC  is looking to electrify its all vehicle models by 2025,” said Feng. He also added that GAC will accelerate the R&D of new energy vehicles and technological innovation in a bid to broaden its products’ appeal to an international market.
