Fisker Targets Europe with SUV’s Paris Debut

US premium BEV maker, Fisker, begins its push into the growing European market with its first appearance at the Mondial de l’Auto otherwise known as the Paris Motor Show.
Its Ocean SUV will make its debut at the prestigious biennial event that alternates with the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. Claiming to be the most sustainable SUV on the market, the Fisker Ocean features aa interior with ethically sourced, upcycled materials throughout. The eco-friendly cabin showcases high-grade upholstery, carpets, and interior details made from recycled plastic bottles and other recycled plastics.
The automaker will display the production-intended top-drawn trim, Ocean Extreme, retailing for €69,950 ($69,932) in France and claiming a 390-mile driving range on a single charge with dual motor all-wheel-drive, three driving modes and a host safety features. Other special features include a 17.1-inch Revolve rotating center screen with Hollywood Mode, Fisker Intelligent Pilot, Smart Traction, California Mode and the SolarSky panoramic roof, boosting emissions-free range.
When fully exposed to the sun, the SolarSky roof claims to produce up to 1,400 miles of emissions-free each year. Under ideal conditions the automaker says this may increase to beyond 1,988 miles.
Fisker plans to open retail locations in Paris in the first half of 2023 to coincide with sales, service and deliveries. From launch, owners will get concierge service from trained mobile technicians, using an existing network of service providers with locations strategically placed throughout the country. European production of the Fisker Ocean will start in November, at a carbon-neutral factory in Graz, Austria. Deliveries to customers in France and eight other launch markets will begin shortly after.
Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker, said: “France is one of our nine launch markets for the Fisker Ocean and we expect to grow our presence in the country throughout 2023 and beyond. We’re on track for production to start in November 2022 at Magna’s carbon-neutral factory in Austria, and we’ll deliver the first Fisker Ocean to France a few months later.”
