Ferrari Roma Claims Most Powerful 2+2 Crown

Ferrari claims its latest 2+2 grand tourer is the most powerful on the market with its Ferrari Roma boasting 611bhp.

The premium automaker says the car was designed to reflect the elegance of the post-war ‘golden’ era of grand tourers embodied by the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso and and the 250 GT 2+2. The new car sports a 4.0-liter V8 turbo gasoline engine featuring Variable Boost Management for better throttle response married to a new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, more compact and 13.2-lbs lighter than its seven-speed predecessor. This weight saving has contributed to an overall curb-weight of 3,454-lbs.

On top of the horsepower the powerplant puts out a maximum of 560ft-lbs of torque between 3,000rpm and 5,750rpm allowing the car to claim a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of more than 198mph. Prices and delivery times have yet to be announced.
