Europe news:  Sanef acquires Webraska

Sanef has acquired Webraska to complement the group’s telematics offering, which already includes Masternaut and eurotoll.

Webraska has two main product lines: Mobile GPS navigation solutions, and geospatial platforms.

The Webraska acquisition allows the Sanef group to enter the satellite navigation market that will complement eurotoll’s electronic road tolling and Masternaut’s fleet management.

It will also broaden its offering to the new generation of GPS-equipped mobile phones equipped, to create a complete service platform combining real-time positioning from Masternaut and traffic information and geospatial technologies from Webraska.

According to Sanef’s general manager Henri Jannet, the acquisition of Webraska positions Sanef as one of the largest providers of telematics solutions in Europe.

Webraska’s founder and vice president, Jean-Michel Durocher, commented that the move brings the financial stability required for the company to respond to the acceleration in demand for all services linked to the location of people and vehicles.
