International market reports show that economic uncertainty has impacted the Fleet Management Systems (FMS) industry and it has had a rough ride over the past few years. But, the good news is that signs of global recovery are imminent and increased usage of telematics is promising to have a positive spin on this sector for the next decade. Hence, many analysts believe that fleet telematics is on the cusp of an explosion.

Recent research has predicted an upswing in commercial telematics usage stating telematics is becoming unavoidable. A study showed that the percentage of cars with factory-installed telematics is currently at ten per cent, but that figure is set to shoot up to 62 per cent by 2016.
