Citroën Releases Fifth Mainstream BEV

Citroën has released the first images of it’s fifth mainstream BEV, the ë-C4, ahead of the new C4’s full world debut at the end of this month.

The automaker claims the all-electric model will share all the qualities needed to shake up the compact urban car segment boasted by its gasoline and diesel powered siblings. It takes its place in Citroën’s electrification strategy following on from the C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid, Ami, ë-Dispatch and ë-SpaceTourer.

Naturally, the BEV will benefit most from a heavily aerodynamic body design which will aid the little car’s potential maximum range between recharges. The automaker makes great play about the car’s enhanced passenger package as part of it Citroën Advanced Comfort program that boasts:

  • Comfort seats and suspension featuring Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, to add to the BEV’s vibration-free travel;
  • Increased interior space, including an innovation for the front passenger (to be disclosed on 30 June);
  • Numerous on-board technologies and driver assistance systems as standard;.
  • Plus Citroën’s future-looking design touches.
