Bentley to Reveal Second Two-Seater in 90 Years

Bentley will unveil only its second two-seat sportscar since 1930 at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show having published a teasing picture of the car’s interior trim.

The Bacalar is a joint project with iconic coachbuilder Mulliner and features a two-seat layout and wraparound cockpit creating a luggage space behind the front seats. Naturally, luggage will be model matched with a bespoke pair of travel cases trimmed to match the interior materials, all of which are from sustainable sources.

Billed as a traditional grand tourer, the car would seem to be named after the largest city in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. A somewhat mysterious connection with the famous British automaker but also a possible hint at the target market of North America.

The car will be joined on the Bentley show stand by the new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible along with the foundation of both the Bacalar’s design DNA and its ethically-sourced materials – Bentley’s centenary concept car, the EXP 100 GT.
