AT&T signs new deals with TomTom and Garmin

The TomTom XL 340S LIVE will access the AT&T network for its connected services, including Local Search powered by Google, real-time traffic information, the TomTom Fuel Price service, TomTom Weather and more.
All services are preloaded on the device and will work immediately out of the box.
The TomTom XL 340S LIVE will be available throughout the US.
TomTom says that it intends to collaborate with AT&T on more advanced connected features in the future.
From October 4th, the Garmin nüvifone G60 will be available in the US in AT&T stores and online at www.wireless.att.com.
The nüvifone G60 has the same core features as a high-end Garmin nüvi® and comes preloaded with maps and millions of POIs for North America. Users have free access to AT&T's Yellow Pages, flight status and converter, and Premium Connected Services provide access to real-time traffic information, fuel prices, White Pages, weather and more.
The maps reside on the nüvifone, giving access to navigation and turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions that speak street names to millions of destinations. The nüvifone automatically recalculates a route if the user misses a turn.
The nüvifone's GPS receiver and Garmin's HotFixTM technology and assisted GPS enables the device to provide reliable location information in the most challenging conditions. The "Where am I?" feature tells users their exact latitude and longitude co-ordinates, nearest address, intersection, hospital, police station or gas station, and, for users who forget where they parked, the device can automatically remember exactly where it was prior to being removed from the vehicle's windshield.
Nüvifone customers also have full HTML browser capability, accessed via the 3G network or AT&T's 20,000+ Wi-Fi hotspots.
The nüvifone G60 includes a three megapixel camera that automatically geotags images with an exact latitude and longitude reference of where the image was taken, enabling the user to navigate back to that location.
