Asia News: Intermap wins $3.1m mapping contract

Intermap Technologies has been awarded a US$3.1 million contract to collect and deliver geographic 3D elevation and imagery data in Southeast Asia.

The company will use one of its five aircraft equipped with Intermap’s proprietary IFSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) mapping technology to complete the project.

These aircraft can operate day or night in clear or cloudy conditions, almost anywhere, anytime.

According to the agreement, Intermap will deliver Digital Surface Model (DSM) and Orthorectified Radar Imagery (ORI) data incrementally throughout 2007.

Intermap’s IFSAR technology enables the company to map large areas faster and more efficiently than any other airborne radar mapping technology in the world.
