Asia News:  GPS proves radar speed trap wrong

According to a report in the Australian Herald Sun, a readout from a vehicle’s GPS tracking device proved that a radar gun had clocked the motorist at 21 km/h more than he’d been driving.

His speeding ticket was withdrawn.

And a Sydney court recently threw out a speeding case when the motorist produced a GPS readout of his car's movements.

Drivers who don’t have GPS devices in their vehicles have little chance to disprove speed traps’ readings, and face speeding fines and demerit points.
