Holger Weiss CEO and FounderView Bio
Holger G. Weiss is founder and CEO of German Autolabs. He has a 15+ year track record in managing and building technology driven companies with innovative business models in the future mobility sector.
Mr. Weiss has a deep expertise in the field of connected mobility. He played a pivotal role within the navigation software startup gate5 in Berlin from its founding until the exit to Nokia in 2006. gate5 was the germ cell of HERE - a map and content provider that has recently been acquired by three German car makers for nearly 3 billion Euro.
Before founding German Autolabs Mr. Weiss was managing director and CEO of Aupeo. Under his leadership the music streaming startup developed into one of the leading provider of internet-based audio content for the automotive industry. In 2013 Aupeo got acquired by Panasonic Automotive Systems of North America.
Mr. Weiss is member of the board in various technology companies and also Venture Partner at Target Partners - one of the leading VC companies in Europe. Besides his business activities he is also an enthusiastic mentor and business angel for young founders. He consults medium-sized companies as well as tech and industry related associations. He is an author, moderator and speaker.
Lukas Neckermann Managing DirectorView Bio
Neckermann Strategic Advisors
Lukas is Managing Director at Neckermann Strategic Advisors, a consultancy based in London with a focus on emerging new mobility trends and their strategic impact. He has 20 years of leadership experience in automotive, media, and financial services.
After beginning his career at a small commercial radio station in Ithaca, New York, Lukas joined BMW in Munich. Working in BMW’s Central Marketing area, he co-developed the first BMW.com website, helped launch the innovative Z8 sports car, and – as an internal consultant – recommended pricing, marketing communication, and positioning strategies for BMW’s various brands (at the time BMW, MINI, Rover, Land Rover, and MG).
He joined Allianz in 2002 as executive assistant to the Group’s CEO, Michael Diekmann, where he developed comprehensive strategy packets. He continued his Allianz career in various strategic and line leadership functions, last as Director and member of the Executive Board at Euler Hermes UK plc, the UK and Ireland’s leading credit-insurance company. While there, Lukas led the most significant innovation and strategic change program in 20 years of the company’s history.
Roger Lanctot Director, Automotive Connected Mobility, Global Automotive PracticeView Bio
Roger Lanctot has 25+ years of experience as a journalist, analyst and consultant advising electronics companies, car companies, wireless carriers, Tier 1s and developers on product and market development and strategy. Currently Director, Automotive Connected Mobility, in the Global Automotive Practice at Strategy Analytics. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and a frequent blogger and keynote speaker.
