New Categories Announced For 2013 Telematics Update Awards

Telematics Update has announced 2 new categories for this year’s Telematics Update Awards, to be held on June 4 at the Hotel Barronette, Novi, MI. The new categories are Best Telematics Product or Service Launch in an emerging market (BRIC Region) and Best Insurance Telematics Product or Service Launch.

The new categories have been designed to recognize the Telematics market’s global expansion in emerging markets, as well as the rapidly expanding insurance telematics sector. Any company can nominate themselves or a partner for a Telematics Update Award. There is no cost to enter and there is a simple nomination process via the website (

The deadline for nominations is Monday, March 18.

Telematics Update Managing Director, Precksha Saksena-Sood has commented that the Telematics Update Awards truly mirror progression in the automotive telematics industry. “By adding two new categories, the Telematics Update Awards are truly reflective of the ever-expanding telematics space. Launching products into new markets is a time-consumptive and risky process. Our awards can help emerging companies gain much-needed recognition on a global scale.”

The brand- new categories for 2013 are:

Nominations for a product, solution or service can be made via the website Companies have to submit a well-crafted short description to explain why they should win the award.

The awards ceremony itself will take place on June 4 at the Hotel Barronette, Novi, MI on the eve of the largest global gathering of telematics executives – The 13th Annual TU-Automotive Detroit 2012 Conference & Exhibition, June 5-6, Novi, MI.

Last night, as part of a glamorous industry gala dinner, Telematics Update announced the winners of the Annual Telematics Update Awards at the Renaissance Hotel Barronette, Novi, MI.

12 well-deserved winners collected their trophies at the Telematics Update Awards ceremony.

The awards dinner took place on the eve of the TU-Automotive Detroit 2012 Conference & Exhibition - the world's largest and most prestigious telematics conference which smashed all previous records as the most successful TU-Automotive Detroit to date.

The entries were judged by a selection of independent consultants and industry experts.
